Sunnyside is a small, two-square-mile community in the North Denver area. Back in the year 1900, the rich landscape drew in Italian vegetables farmers. To this day, many of the original fruit trees are still standing strong, helping to create a small-town feel.

The neighborhood is bound by Inca Street to 38^th Avenue and from Federal Boulevard to I-70. Today, residents enjoy streets lined with mature trees and remarkable gardens. In the midst of it all are historic homes, most of them constructed before 1930. The community is richly diverse with a wide mixture of residents. Its “front porch style” designed streets make it the perfect family-oriented community for Denver homeowners.

Filled with historic charm, there's something about Sunnyside that makes it irresistible. The urban conveniences such as the public transportation system make living here a commuter's dream. The area is scheduled to begin being served by RTD by the end of 2016. The rail transit will connect the neighborhood to Highlands, Longmont/Boulder, and Wheat Ridge/Arvada. The new local rail station will be located at Inca Street and 39^th Avenue.

Today, residents are seeing big things happening in the community. It's currently represented by Sunnyside United Neighbors, Inc. (SUNI), one of the city's most powerful registered community organizations. SUNI has been a very instrumental the community's development, putting on local socials and events, developing zones for businesses, and renovating local parks.
